BG was originally founded in the mid 1970’s by Mr A S Bedi and George Godby who became MD and Sales Director of the newly formed company BG Perimeter Systems Ltd along with Alpha Radiant Systems. This came about following the collapse of Flexaire in Slough. Both have now retired and George sadly passed away. Anil Kaura, with BG almost from the beginning along with 3 new Co-Directors now carry on the business with the slight name change to BG P Services Ltd. Some additions have been made to the products with Fan Assisted Trench as well as Fan Convectors and Natural Convectors. For many years BG have also produced Trench or Perimeter Heating to introduce fresh air ventilation as well.
Trench Heating, Perimeter Heating, Fan Coil Casing and Radiant Panel Heating are manufactured by a few. Few can say they have produced it on some of the United Kingdom’s largest and prestigious landmarks. BGP Services and Alpha Radiant Panels have many examples all over the UK. Trench Heating and Perimeter Heating was supplied and installed by BGP in 1983 at Heathrow Terminal 4 and in recent years Trench Heating and Radiant Panel was installed at the New Wembley Stadium.
The Trench Heating and Perimeter Heating installation at Heathrow T4 was one of the largest of its type ever seen in the country. In all Stainless Steel, it was one of the biggest ever in value and the like may never be seen again. BGP also supplied Peridmeter Heating at one of the largest Mental Health Hospitals in the UK at Prospect Park Reading. Perimeter Heating in office buildings is not often used now in favour of Trench Heating which allows more floor area for letting purposes.
Both Curved Trench Heating and Facetted Trench Heating can be produced. Curved Trench was installed at the Empress State Building in West London. The London Show room for Audi Motors has Facetted Trench Heating on the slight curve of the building which can be seen in the case studies.
Fan Coil Casing, in continuous form, much less common these days can be seen in the Case Study – Fan Coil Casing at the Ramada Jarvis Hotel Hyde Park. Radiant Panel has been designed and installed in many Hospitals, Sports Halls, Libraries, and Laboratories up and down the country.
BGP, after nearly 4 decades of manufacturing in Uxbridge have recently moved the factory to Camberley.
